Mark Crispin Miller: The Proof for the Stolen Elections
and More
Election Fraud, instigated by the Neo-Conservative
movement world-wide, has been making the news this past
week from of all places, Mexico.
The non-conservative candidate who lost a contested
Mexican presidential election showed what he called
video proof of fraud on Monday, 7/10/06, and would not
commit to accepting a court ruling on the election
results. Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, the former mayor
of Mexico City, asked an electoral court to reverse a
narrow victory in the July 2, 2006 election of
conservative Felipe Calderon of the ruling National
Action Party or PAN.
Over the weekend, tens of thousands of citizens of
Mexico City took to the streets to claim in loud voices
that the election was stolen. Here in America, no one
took to the streets after the November 2004 win by
George W. Bush, even though there was overwhelming
evidence for anyone who looked that the election was
rigged. Why no outcry in America?

This question is explored in depth in this hard hitting
interview with author, commentator and Professor of
Culture and Communications at New York University,
Dr. Mark Crispin Miller. Mark lays out the
evidence and the nuts and bolts description of how the
election was stolen and that the Democratic Candidate
John Kerry actually won by millions of votes.

“We can’t keep doing this…we
can’t keep going through these mock elections and then
just sitting back and letting them take power.” - Mark

In this follow-up interview conducted on October
17th, 2006 and posted on your right, Jerry talks
with Mark Crispin Miller about the upcoming
November elections and the odds that this one is rigged.
Bush and Rove are inexplicitly upbeat about the coming
elections, given their abysmal popularity among the
populace. What can we expect and what can we do?
The hallmark of a strong democracy is not merely
holding elections. Saddam Hussein had elections. The
hallmark of a strong democracy is having popular control
and oversight of the electoral process. If it’s not
transparent to us it’s not democratic; it’s
totalitarian.
The Bush regime was never elected in the first place
and in order to take power they had to get around the
electoral process and they know how to do it. Election
fraud has been going on forever but Bush has brought it
to new levels.
They are in a strong position to at least try it
again as far as their control of the system is
concerned. In next month’s elections 80% of the
electorate will have its votes counted by computerized
equipment manufactured by private companies with ties to
the Republican Party. Also legislation has been passed
in some states which disenfranchise select (i.e.
Democratic) voters.
So what do we do?
We turn out to vote in large numbers but we also have
to be very aware that there is a very good chance that
fraud could happen again and to be vigilant for any
improprieties. We need the highest turnout possible to
make it harder for the Republicans to spin their next
upset victory as being a legitimate one. We need to be
psychologically prepared to refuse to acknowledge the
results.
Mark hopes that another Republican “victory” would
constitute the 2 x 4 that “knocks the Donkey out of its
stupor.”
