Background: What Are We Doing and Why?

What have these men done for the American People? Think about it and before you respond read on.

Larry W. Bryant is an outspoken resident of Virginia, and long time advocate for obtaining information about government activities, deemed secret for national security reasons, via the Freedom of Information Act. Larry came up with the idea of petitioning for Grand Jury empanelment to investigate and potentially order prosecution of Bush and Cheney for high crimes and misdemeanors against the people of the United States of America.

Oklahoma and New Mexico are the only two states within the Union where there is constitutional authority to do this. Citizens, every day people, are ready to rise up and take back their government from the Bush Political Machine. A real David and Goliath story in the making. Citizens are moving to call for the creation of a Grand Jury to investigate criminal wrong doing by President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard (Dick) Cheney.

Once prosecution is called for by the Grand Jury, can Congress sit buy and ignore the people? Impeachment by the House and trial by the Senate should follow. Will the trial recommendation of the Grand Jury be challenged all the way to the Supreme Court, and will the Court uphold the Constitution on this matter?

Is this the way to beat the long arm of control extended by the Bush controlled Justice Department and major media outlets? It just might work. Keep checking back on this page for updates on our CITIZENS battle to take back our government.

 The Justification for Impeachment
 by Jerry Pippin
5/22/06

Doug Thompson a reporter for Capital Hill Blues in DC on December 5, wrote this in his column. Thompson insists that he has two sources who were there and who heard the President cursing the constitution and those who oppose him. We all know he publicly said that he was the "Decider." So, in Mr. Bush's mind, it seems pretty clear that he is already the Dictator of the United States of America and not just a lowly elected official, even though President is the highest office that the people can bestow in this country. Here is how that meeting went, according to Thompson, and a half year later no one is saying it is not true.

The meeting was with key Republicans from the hill on his efforts to keep the Patriot Law as is. Bush was forceful and there was no way anyone could misunderstand his words. “I don’t give a goddamn,” Bush retorted. “I’m the President and the Commander-in-Chief. Do it my way.”

“Mr. President,” one aide in the meeting said. “There is a valid case that the provisions in this law undermine the Constitution.”

“Stop throwing the Constitution in my face,” Bush screamed back. “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper!”

Three people present for the meeting confirmed the words from the President to Thompson. Now lets fast forward to Sunday morning, May 21, on "Face The Nation" where Attorney General Alberto Gonzales calmly stated that journalist could be prosecuted for doing stories about government secret activities. He also said that the government will continue to track telephone calls in the US including phone calls made by reporters. Unless you think this is not happening, all we have to do is quote ABC 's Brian Ross, an investigative reporter who says he is "treated like a drug runner or terrorist" by the administration as he attempts to investigate stories. The lead investigative correspondent for the network learned last week that he was under surveillance by our government.

As a talk show host and broadcast personality who deals with news events and news personalities, I have had an interesting personal journey the past six years of the Bush Administration.

When Mr. Bush's forces were able to get the Supreme Court to make a political decision and make him President, I was shocked that the Gore people did not do more. In fairness to Al Gore, he has been quoted as saying, "In our system, there's no intermediate step between a definitive Supreme Court decision and violent revolution." Gore's lawyer, David Boiles, has been quoted as saying, not only does Gore think the election was stolen, but so does he.

As a person who was a Gore Supporter and a believer in the rule of the ballot box, I was outraged. So, for four years we did everything we could, risking and losing quite a lot of money from advertisers, who did not want our anti-administration slant associated with their messages. This was certainly the case from September 11, 2001 forward. The least bit of criticism met with an onslaught of cancellations and threats of cancellations of advertising money, even though many told us off the record that they agreed with our stance. They just thought it would be bad for business.

When Mr. Bush won the second election in November of 2004 with a far more clever manipulation of the ballots in our opinion, we decided to back off and let others do the heaving lifting. By the Spring of 2006, it was apparent to us that no one controlled by national advertising would do much about the IMPEACHABLE offenses of this President and Vice President. We had hoped that an ambitious Attorney General of some state would step forward with an investigation, but none have. It was very clear to us that the Federal system was useless, as it was now controlled by this anti-American Neo-Conservative movement. Then, Larry W. Bryant contacted me.

Bryant is a well known activist in the political arena and has written several books. His main claim to fame is his ability to give the Pentagon fits over Freedom of Information Act requests. He is like a mad-dog, who never lets go after he takes his first bite. Bryant and some lawyer friends had come up with a different tact to IMPEACH and they contacted me.

Two States, Oklahoma and New Mexico, had an interesting twist in the grand jury statutes. Simply put, with five hundred signatures from a county,..... well I am told now it might be less or a few hundred more, so we are not sure yet, and the Court Clerk was not there Friday, and I will have to wait until Tuesday to talk to her so that we can change that from five hundred to "a few hundred signatures"......a local grand jury could be called to investigate the charges of criminal activity of even the President and Vice President. It was too much for me to resist. The call to duty was made, and I accepted, for better or for worse. I have decided to make the effort to get a local grand jury in a small Oklahoma town to take on the giants of our nation in far away Washington, D.C. It is a long shot. We may not necessarily get the signatures, a Judge or an appeal if the Judge refuses to empanel the grand jury. The long shot is two fold, will the local prosecutors take this charge seriously and do a good job of investigating, or will they break under the pressure from Big Brother that will surely come?

The impeachable offenses are many. Lies and false pretenses about the war in Iraq. Well over 2500 American men and women and over 100,000 Iraqi civilians are dead due to the actions of the administration in creating false justifications for war, ranging from claims that Iraq had something to do with the 9/11 attacks to claims of the production of nuclear and biological weapons and threats of their impending use, and on and on.  All of these claims used to justify the attack of Iraq to our Congress, to the United Nations Security Council and to the peoples of the world were false.

The 9/11 attacks themselves have left behind many unanswered questions. Independent, uncompromised investigation has shown, at the very least, huge incompetence on the part of the Bush Administration and, at the most, something much more sinister. Spying on and surveillance of American citizens within the United States without court orders has been condoned and carried out by the Bush Administration.

There has been a huge misuse of public funds demonstrated by the giving of billions of dollars to politically connected businesses, such as Halliburton, to perform public services without requiring visible and audited results. The Bush Administration has for years refused to reveal documents showing planning and cooperation between the major energy corporations and the Federal Government orchestrated by the Vice President, which has resulted in gasoline, heating oil and natural gas prices that are three times higher than those of the Clinton years.

Then, there is the torture issue. How can American's stand by while agents of our government conduct animalistic mauling and killing of human beings in the name of security. Pulling fingernails and toenails out with each wrong answer, electric shocks to private parts of men and women, are examples of actions being performed with official sanction, which Masters of Sadism could only dream possible. Who are the men and women within our government who order and condone these atrocities? Where does the buck stop?

There are many more impeachable offenses that could be listed. Yet, our Congress and its Democratic members sit like spineless jelly fish on a bench by the beach in the sunlight, as the Neo-Con movement passes out our tax dollars to the major corporate political donors from the pharmaceutical, insurance, and financial services industries, and to the big daddy of them all, the defense industry. The objective is clear to anyone who wants to see it: rob the Federal Treasury and dismantle the social fabric of America that required 50 years of legislation, which was designed, not to help the wealthy, but to help the average American family.

The mission is clear, stop the madness and return us to the sanity of an America we have known in decades past. The job has fallen to the meek and least powerful, but we, the people in a tiny place in a red state can undo the actions of the cowboys of fear and loathing, the members of the Bush Administration. How? Simply by using the legal system to go after the "Decider" and his fellow warriors of destruction. I am afraid that criminal charges being investigated by a county attorney in a rural area of a small state might be our only hope of restoring decency and moral conviction to the political arena. So, our march toward a grand jury investigation of President George W. Bush and Vice President Richard (Dick) Cheney has begun.

GRAND JURY IMPANELMENT PETITION

== IN THE 15th JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT FOR THE COUNTY OF MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA ==

DOCKET NUMBER: _ _ _ _ _ _

DATE OF FILING: _ _ _ _ _ _ _

CITIZENS PETITION TO IMPANEL A MUSKOGEE COUNTY, OKLAHOMA, GRAND JURY to inquire into and report on or return indictments for all character and grades of crime allegedly committed by George W. Bush and Richard B. Cheney while serving as President and Vice President of the United States of America. *

1. By our signatures below, we, the undersigned electors of Muskogee, Oklahoma, hereby petition this court to order the immediate impanelment of a grand jury for the express purpose of investigating, and reporting upon, the events, principals, and impact of various acts of alleged criminality on the part of U. S. President George Walker Bush and U. S. Vice President Richard B. Cheney.

2. In particular, we seek the grand jury's prompt collection, analysis, and reporting of any and all evidence discoverable in the form of sworn testimony, "leaked" official documentation, and subpoenaed material as regards any criminal acts allegedly committed by Bush and Cheney during their time in public office -- said (alleged) acts to include the following:

a. Lying to the public as to their true motives for launching military attacks upon the sovereign nation of Iraq;

b. Using their offices to retaliate against one or more whistleblowers who have come forward with behind-the-scenes revelations about the lead-up to the U. S. invasion of Iraq;

c. Authorizing the U. S. National Security Agency (in concert with other agencies) to conduct warrantless surveillance of electronic communications involving U. S. citizens on American soil (including Oklahoma soil).

3. These wrongful, harmful acts fall within the jurisdiction of this court by virtue of their interstate transmission, negatively affecting all Oklahomans in one degree or another. These acts, therefore, deserve the full, prompt, and careful deliberation and exposure by the sought-for People's Panel. This petition further reflects the will of the people as exemplified by recent local governments' enactment of Bush-Cheney impeachment resolutions from coast to coast -- including the one issued by the townspeople of Newfane, Vermont.

4. We hereby solicit support for this petition from various public-interest groups committed to assuring (a) openness in governmental policymaking/operations, (b) full accountability for official acts of commission/omission, and (c) sound public safety and stewardship of national resources. In this regard, at least one online petition has been launched as a collateral instrument by which the world's general public may add their electronic signatures to this formal call for action.

5. By the weight and constitutional authority of our hundreds of signatures below, we hereby seek support from all interested parties in (a) determining what laws affecting Oklahoma's public safety, commerce, civil liberty, and the public trust may have been (and still are being) violated by the alleged Bush-Cheney criminality; and (b) acquiring evidentiary material critical to the grand jury's role as a court of inquiry into what that criminality portends for our current and future society.

1,000 PEOPLE SPELL OUT "IMPEACH!" IN PELOSI'S DISTRICT

CONTACT: Brad Newsham, 415-305-8294, newsham@mac.com

PHOTOS: http://beachimpeach.com/photos.shtml

January 6, 2007 -- Over 1000 people gathered in Nancy Pelosi's district, on Ocean Beach in San Francisco, to spell out the message "IMPEACH!" "America is a great country," said event organizer Brad Newsham, a local cab driver and author. "But President Bush has betrayed our faith. He mislead us into a disastrous war, and is trampling on our Constitution. He has to go. Now. I hope Nancy Pelosi is listening today."

A majority of Americans share Newsham's sentiments. A 2006 Zogby poll found that 52% of Americans agreed with the statement: "If President Bush wiretapped American citizens without the approval of a judge, do you agree or disagree that Congress should consider holding him accountable through impeachment?"

JERRY PIPPIN

The petition drive to get 2500 signatures to call for a grand jury investigation of Bush/Cheney is about half way there, according to Jerry Pippin who is spearheading the effort in Muskogee County. Pippin, who hosts internet radio programs noted that this was the reason he became involved in the impeachment movement.

"We have begun a series of radio programs that exposes the criminal wrong doing of the Bush/Cheney administration with guests who are whistle blowers, investigative reporters and authors, and movie documentary producers. There is a huge list of people who have lots of evidence of criminal wrongdoing and when we get the grand jury impaneled under a unique section of the Oklahoma Constitution that allows for citizens to petition for grand jury investigations, we plan to turn over the witness list and the physical evidence.”

Pippin notes that he has a series of programs on this subject now available on a 24/7 basis at his web site. "We offer our programming so listeners can listen when they want to listen, any time, day or night, any day of the week and it is all free." Pippin noted that a program released today features investigative journalist David Lindorff who, with Barbara Olshansky, has written a book called, The Case for Impeachment: The Legal Argument for Removing President George W. Bush from Office. In this program we pretty well lay out the case against George W. Bush.” The program can be accessed at http://www.bushbusiness.com/ontherecord.htm#Lindorff.

“Between now and Election day in November we intend to offer an overview of the impeachment issues with political leaders, journalists and those who were there to witness the illegal wrong doing. Then after the election when the composition of Congress has changed, we will start getting down to the nitty-gritty stuff. Bush/Cheney and their partners in crime have broken countless laws and we intend to shine the light of truth on it with our radio programs and web site, www.bushbusiness.com Pippin added that, " he expected the new Congress to take up impeachment early in 2007."

Muskogee Native Wants to Make a Difference

John B. Lester (right), a native of Muskogee who calls himself the original Okie from Muskogee, signs the citizens petition drive to empanel a Muskogee County grand jury with the intent of charging President Bush with criminal acts, while Judy Ramsey (left), co-chair of the petition drive, assists him. Lester contacted Jerry Pippin, a leading web broadcaster, and chairman of the drive, after reading an editorial about it in the Muskogee Phoenix. Mr. Lester is homebound and being treated by Hospice for his illness that includes battles with emphysema and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

John Lester, a native of Muskogee who calls himself the original Okie from Muskogee, called Jerry Pippin, a local web broadcaster, after reading about a citizens petition drive to empanel a Muskogee County grand jury with the intent of charging President Bush with criminal acts. "It's just something I felt I had to do. The American thing to do", says Lester.

Judy Ramsey, co-chair of the petition drive, explained that Oklahoma is one of only two states in the US that give citizens the right to petition for a grand jury investigation as part of their state constitution. "We were happy to make the trip to Mr. Lester's residence to give him the opportunity to sign the petition," Ramsey said.

Lester currently resides in Ft. Gibson, in Muskogee County, and would like to see this administration held accountable while he still can. Asked why he was so driven to sign the petition, Lester said, "Well, I've always felt like, from the beginning, that we only went to war because Bush wanted to. That's not a good enough reason for most of us."

Though Lester appears healthy, yet frail, he is prepared for the end. He says that he had his first by-pass surgery in 1959 and doctors are amazed he's lasted this long. He attributes his 75 year longevity to a positive attitude, and the fact that he likes to fish and joke around. He feels like he has always been a fair man and once served as a Justice of the Peace in San Juan, Utah. Lester and his former wife were foster parents who ended up adopting three Navajo children. His son checks on him from time to time and makes sure he has what he needs.

With a look like Willie Nelson, this native son from Muskogee hopes to see a real grassroots movement where people like him can really make a difference. Jerry Pippin and staff like to call him their "Angel Flying to Close to the Ground."

Headquarters for the citizen's petition drive is located in the Shadow Wood Mall, 401 W. Broadway, Lower Level # 107, Muskogee, Ok. For more information go to www.bushbusiness.com.

The writer fears that Muskogee's national reputation has been tarnished by Jerry and that unnamed political agitator from Virginia.  The plain, common people of Muskogee shouldn't get involved in national politics. 9/10/06: Opinion Letter published in the Muskogee Phoenix

The people speak: Impeachment measure has merit, so sign it

Efforts are under way in Muskogee County to get signatures on a petition to convene a grand jury for the purpose of, eventually, impeaching the U.S. president, George W. Bush.

This seems a Herculean effort for a small county to undertake.

Does it have a chance of succeeding? That is hard to say. Approximately 2,500 signatures are needed to petition the court. That may be the easiest part of the process.

The sitting administration has thumbed their noses at Senate inquiries. Is there any reason to believe they would do anything but laugh at the efforts of one little county? The answer is simple — law is law! Elected officials are sworn to obey the law, all laws, not just ones they choose.

Probably, they would simply have the attorney general rule that this was unconstitutional and advise the White House to ignore the proceedings. They seem to feel that an interpretation by this attorney general is law. Not so, it is an interpretation.

So who should sign this petition? I think every registered voter. This country has been divided, and this offers a superb opportunity to focus on major issues as opposed to those hot-button issues that normally sidetrack us: immigration, gun control, abortion, displaying of Christian symbols, outsourcing of American jobs. They are not the illness, just the symptoms.

Impeachment would allow both sides to examine the worthiness of this president to serve out his term. It would address whether the war in Iraq was based upon manipulated intelligence information. It could focus on the large amounts of money being spent without competitive bidding. It could determine whether appointing cronies to high public office, without experience, was acceptable behavior for an administration.

Remember that the impeachment hearings are to hear evidence. They cannot remove a president from office without further legal steps being taken. We should all, Bushites and Bush-haters, look at this as an opportunity to prove our side. Time will tell. Is there cause for further action, or is it time to shut up?

So when asked, sign the petition. In so doing we take the first step toward enlightenment. One side will be happy, and one will be silenced. Either way, America wins.

== Monetary Reward Awaits Key Prospective Whistleblower Privy to Smoking-gun Evidence Tying Bush-Cheney to Any Criminality ==

Activists supporting Muskogee County, Okla.'s proposed Citizens Petition for Impanelment of a Presidential Grand Jury Probe have devised a novel way to advance their countermovement against what they view as a presidency gone wild.

Muskogee-based independent radio personality Jerry Pippin notes that "this long-overdue grassroots effort to hold Pres. Bush and V.P. Cheney fully accountable for their official actions and inactions aims to drag Congress members -- a-kickin' and a-screamin' -- into the impeachment chamber of that legislative body."

Right now, he adds, not enough brave members have come forward (or plan to come forward) in a direct, unequivocal way to assure that these two officials won't escape the impeachment process. "Consider this local grand-jury project as a shoehorn for Congress to slip into its combat boots for the battle ahead," Pippin says. "These twelve jurors will collect and evaluate relevant evidence, investigate its implications for Oklahomans' security and quality of life, and issue a report of their findings, conclusions, and recommendations."

To help Pippin spearhead and accelerate the project, Virginia activist Larry W. Bryant has launched a proposed whistleblower-support fund -- by circulating the following announcement:

"PUBLIC NOTICE: $1,500 Reward Offered . . .

. . . to the first person who furnishes verifiable evidence implicating either President Bush or Vice President Cheney (or both) in any criminal activity perpetrated during their terms in office. That evidence will be submitted to the forthcoming state grand jury to be impaneled in Muskogee, Okla., for the purpose of investigating, and reporting upon, any alleged criminal conduct on the part of Bush-Cheney.

"If the grand jury's evaluation of your submitted evidence results in congressional impeachment of Bush-Cheney, you will receive a check from Larry W. Bryant in the amount of $1,500.

"Please submit all relevant material to the following address: Chairman, Committee for Empanelment of a Presidential Grand Jury Probe; c/o Jerry Pippin Productions, P. O. Box 333, Muskogee, OK 74402.

"Note: Persons desiring to augment this reward as a heightened incentive for production of the sought-for evidence won't be discouraged from sending their checks to the same address.

"As one of only two states in the union -- Oklahoma and New Mexico -- that offer their citizenry a constitutional provision for petitioning a county's district court for grand-jury empanelment, Oklahoma stands at a crossroads in our service to the national public interest; and we're marching into it with a banner proclaiming 'MUSKOGEE WILL KEEP US FREE!'," Pippin concludes.

5/30/06:  Petition for Grand Jury Empanelment to Enable Bush-Cheney Impeachment

Larry W. Bryant is an outspoken resident of Virginia, and a long time advocate for obtaining information about government activities, deemed secret for national security reasons, via the Freedom of Information Act. Larry came up with the idea of petitioning for Grand Jury empanelment to investigate and potentially order prosecution of Bush and Cheney for high crimes and misdemeanors against the people of the United States of America.

Oklahoma and New Mexico are the only two states within the Union where there is state constitutional authority to do this. United States citizens, every day people, are ready to rise up, using the law and the legal system to take back control of their lives and of their government from the Bush Political Machine.

Over the next few weeks, our goal is to, not only to get a Grand Jury Empanelment Petition signed by residents of Muskogee County, Oklahoma, but also to promote this countermovement in the major media and political circles of our country and around the world. There is only one way to stop the Bush-Cheney movement cold in its tracks, and that is by influencing public opinion and applying pressure. It is also not unnoticed by us that we have several months before the off-year congressional elections, and this target for promotion of our agenda is as important as the stated initial goal.

Those of us who have initiated this effort have decided to take this legal-based action, because the judicial and legislative elements in our government have been ineffective, and worse, appear to be a part of this movement of the Neo-Con political apparatus, and their powerful corporate elite backers, to seize complete control of our country. The message daily expressed by Bush, members of his administration, his supporters, public and private, many members of Congress and the judiciary, is “to hell with the people.” Greed, graft and power lust reign supreme in Washington and throughout America. These efforts to overturn our democratic republic created for and by the people must be stopped. We think we can help through our legal-based efforts, which have been initiated in behalf of the citizens of the United States of America.

Go to http://www.bushbusiness.com/impeachment%20news.htm  for the full story about our efforts, and to view our national support petition. Is this the way to beat the long arm of control extended by the Bush Justice Department? It just might work. Judy Ramsey (left) and Jerry Pippin (right), a local web broadcaster, are shown at the Petition Headquarters for the citizens petition drive to impanel a Muskogee County grand jury to investigate, report on and recommend prosecution of President Bush and Vice President Cheney for criminal acts. They are co-chairs of the drive. The headquarters is located at Shadow Wood Mall, 401 W. Broadway, #107, Muskogee. Only Muskogee County registered voters can sign the petition. Oklahoma is one of only two states in the U.S. that give citizens the right to petition for a grand jury investigation as part of their state constitution.

9/29/06: Noon time Impeachment and Petition Signing Rally at Muskogee's Spaulding Park

On the 58th anniversary of the visit to Muskogee and our municipal park near downtown, Spaulding Park, we decided to hold an impeachment signature rally in our efforts for a grand jury investigation of the Bush/Cheney administration. The volunteers in this exercise in constitutional liberty scattered themselves along the four block area of the park waving signs and getting people to pull over and sign our petition. Interesting enough, most of the people who stopped were from out of town and could not sign, because they were not registered voters in Muskogee county.

Above and below are few of the photos of some of us actively calling attention to the Torturer in Chief and his seizure of American Democracy. Combined combined with our efforts the previous weekend at the County Fair we are now close to the half mark on the needed 2500 signatures. Thanks to everyone who came out and visited with us on the issues, al in all, it was a delightful exercise in political activism.   --- Jerry Pippin

6/1/06 - A Wholesome Encounter with Joseph C. Wilson IV
By Larry W. Bryant

That P. R. axiom about "bad publicity's still publicity" certainly applies to the likes of Joe Wilson, famed not so much for his 20-some years of federal service as for his courageous role in publicly revealing, back in 2003, the Bush presidency's deceptive practices.

His revelation still reverberates as we await the outcome of the resultant Libby-Plame scandal at the White House.

Meantime, for his part, "Mr. Plame" (as he drolly refers to his press-highjacked persona) has been responding to the scandal's recent developments by undertaking various public appearances. The latest of these occurred in the evening of May 31, 2006, when he addressed a gathering of about 24 members-and-guests of the McClendon Study Group, named after the late White House correspondent Sarah McClendon.

As we ate dinner there at the National Press Club's "Reliable Source" restaurant in Washington, D. C., Wilson shared with us some background information about this case that "is all about the sixteen words in Bush's State of the Union address -- not about Joe Wilson, and certainly not about my wife." Those 16 words, of course, used by Bush to sell us the emergence of Iraqnam, went on to become the target of Wilson's now-historic New York Times op-ed piece "What I Didn't Find in Africa."

In the course of delivering that bad news, Wilson naturally became a target himself -- of the Bushites' resolve of "getting even with me," he told us. At one point, in the wake of columnist Bob Novak's disclosure of Valerie Plame Wilson's CIA-employment identity, Joe had been fielding about 45 phone calls per day.

Our government, he lamented, had "lied to us for political purposes"; and now he simply can't suppress his anger and disappointment at how the key perpetrators of this deception have escaped accountability for it. How, for example, can White House strategist Karl Rove justify retaining a Top Secret security clearance? (For that matter, how can Bush and Cheney justify retaining THEIRS? -- L.W.B.)

Wilson summed up his case as an example of "the lengths the Bush administration will go to lie to the American people." Toward the end of the Q.-and-A. session, I chimed in with this question: "Do you view the Plame affair as a form of official retaliation against you?" When he gave me a firm "Yes," I then asked, "Do you view that retaliation as an abuse of presidential authority; and, if so, do you think Bush and/or Cheney should be impeached for that abuse?" To this, he said he hopes no constitutional officers are involved in the Plame-outing scandal.

Then I explained to him the reason behind my line of questioning: just recently, a small group of Oklahomans have decided to petition a county district court to empanel a grand jury to investigate, and to report upon, any alleged violation of the public trust by Bush-Cheney. Whereupon, Wilson told us that "my grandmother was from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma," and that he's not surprised that some of today's Okies have embarked upon such a project.

Finally, I noted that the citizens-petition group in Muskogee, Okla., would welcome receiving from him a formal declaration as to his being victimized by a White House policy/practice inimical to American ideals and expectations. He responded by saying he'd have to consult with counsel on such solicitation, inviting me to e-mail him about its particulars.

As Wilson departed the meeting room, I handed him my calling card, ever mindful that this former ambassador might, some day, acquire additional Bush-incriminating evidence to share with us in the future. And you can count on my relaying such information to the webmaster of http://www.bushbusiness.com/impeachment/%20news.htm

5/27/06 - Update Notice No. 2: A Mini-manifesto from Jerry Pippin

LWB Note: Mr. Pippin has authorized me to circulate his following remarks far and wide:

Over the next few weeks, our goal is to not only get the Muskogee petition signed but also to promote this countermovement in the major media and political circles of our country and the world.

There is only one way to stop the Bush-Cheney movement cold in its tracks, and that is by influencing public opinion and applying pressure. It is not unnoticed by us that we have several months before the off-year congressional elections and this target is as important as the main goal. We have had to take action as a population because the judicial and congressional elements in our government have been ineffective -- and, worse, seem to be part of this movement to seize the country into control by the powerful, and to hell with the people.

It must be stopped, and we can do it. Go here and read; and please help us in this countermovement.

As you will see when you read these posts, there are still plenty of folks with Republican Red Necks left in Oklahoma. Perhaps they haven't as yet felt the credit crunch, the high price of food and clothing and the cost of gasoline and natural gas. Things are still going fine in Okie Land. Nationally, Bush has a 29% job approval rating. In Oklahoma it is still 60%, we hear. Are these people asleep, clueless, or uninformed?

5/26/06 - Extent of Any Cavtel Complicity in the Warrantless Electronic Surveillance of My E-mail and Telephone Communications

TO: Mr. Brad Evans, President, Cavalier Telephone Company, LLC, 2134 West Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23227
FROM: Larry W. Bryant, 3518 Martha Custis Drive, Alexandria, VA 22302, Phone: 703-931-3341
DATE: May 26, 2006

Because of my regular communications via e-mail and telephone with various international contacts (and with other U. S. citizens who likewise conduct such communication), I have every reason to assume that one or more government agencies have been applying their warrantless-wiretapping efforts to my communications.

In a move to determine the extent of your company's complicity in that ongoing, (alleged) privacy-invading practice on the part of Verizon, Inc. (the company on which Cavalier piggybacks its hardware infrastructure), I ask that you investigate the practice and report to me your findings as soon as possible. Should your investigation produce any confirmatory evidence of the practice, I also ask that you furnish me a copy thereof, as well as a written statement assuring me of your company's immediate cessation of any complicity therein.

Your failure to conduct this investigation will impede my (and others') > efforts to gain appropriate redress of this widespread, harmful practice. Such interference from Cavalier not only would be an unwise business decision on your part; it also would cast Cavalier as an abettor of unwarranted, illegal privacy invasion -- and hence may subject your company to being subpoenaed by the forthcoming Presidential Grand Jury Probe now being sought in Muskogee, Oklahoma (see the web site of http://www.petitiononline.com/gjprobe/petition.html).

Therefore, in the interest of my current/future privacy protection and of preserving Cavalier's integrity and credibility in this matter, I expect your prompt, comprehensive, and truthful compliance with my request.

By snail-mail, I'm sending to you a signed printout of this e-formatted letter.

5/25/06 - Update Notice No. 1 re Muskogee's Petition for Impaneling a Presidential Grand Jury Probe: A Call for Witnesses

If you, or someone you know, can furnish verifiable evidence in the form of personal testimony, official documentation, and/or whistleblower-generated material germane to any alleged Bush-Cheney criminality, the 12 members of the proposed grand jury would be eager to see and deliberate upon that evidence.

This Call for Witnesses hereby asks that any prospective witness provide to the Committee for Empanelment a signed, notarized Declaration outlining the nature and volume of evidence that (s)he is willing to share with the grand jury upon its empanelment. Of particular value during the grand jury's investigation would be all material that, based on the Declarant's knowledge and experience, constitutes evidence of illegal wiretapping; intimidation of witnesses/whistleblowers; mismanagement/conversion of government resources; deceptive/fraudulent/corrupt/mendacious practices; conspiracy to deprive anyone of his/her civil liberty under federal and/or Oklahoma law; abuse of authority; and any other violation of the public trust.

Once the Committee files the Petition for Empanelment with Muskogee County's district court, all declarations received to date will be submitted to the court with that filing. All other declarations received thenceforth will be submitted direct to the impaneled grand jury. Of course, the subsequent declarants may wish to send their material straight to the jury.

Please mail the original copy of your declaration to the following address: Chairman, Committee for Empanelment of a Presidential Grand Jury Probe, C/O Jerry Pippin Productions, P. O. Box 333, Muskogee, OK 74402.

Thank you for thus helping bring this long-overdue project to fruition -- in the civic spirit that "Muskogee Will Keep Us Free!"
